What you will do at Photomath:

At Photomath, our Infrastructure team has a very wide area of responsibilities that we are now separating into four smaller, specialised teams and one of them is ITOps (Office IT Support).

You, as Senior System Engineer, will have responsibilities of managing various accounts, licenses, assets, and all equipment like laptops, servers, office networks, printers, TVs, etc.

As an experienced senior in this area and the first person in our ITOps team (Office IT Support), you will have a chance to develop into a Team Lead where you will be responsible for hiring, mentoring and managing future members of the ITOps team.

What we expect from you is to be proactive and have a responsible approach to your tasks. You should be comfortable and willing to work in a team, cooperate closely with other teams and employees, and be willing to learn new things and promote new tools and better practices within Photomath.

Most of our computers (300+) and our 5 on-premises servers are running Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Arch) and MacOS Operating systems, with only a couple of exceptions where we are running Microsoft Windows on users laptops, which means we are expecting a high level knowledge of Linux administration.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Office IT Support or similar position 
  • Advanced  knowledge in Linux OS administration (Ubuntu, Debian)
  • Knowledge of MacOS administration
  • Good knowledge of LAN and WiFi administration
  • Some scripting knowledge (shell, python,..)
  • Knowledge of computers and servers hardware configurations and components
  • Good communicational skills (both Croatian and English)
  • Good organisational and analytical skills
  • A proactive and responsible approach to work tasks
  • Extra points for mentoring experience and skills

An additional plus is if you:

  • Have experience working with Jira and Google administration

Salary range: 

  • 16.000 - 21.000 kn gross, depending on candidate's competencies, with possible exceptions
