Photomath believes learning math is a journey of growth filled with highs and lows, and we’re here to champion students along that adventure! Math is one of the few subjects where you get partial credit when you show your work. Why? Because each step matters; not just the final answer.
Over 8 years, our app has gotten over 300-million downloads globally making us the top math learning app in the world. How does it work? Users take a photo of a math problem through their phone’s camera and then we teach people how to solve it step-by-step.
About the role:
The Senior Communications Manager will be a key member of the Brand Marketing team, reporting directly to the Brand and Product Marketing Lead. This is an integral role and we’re looking for a brilliant storyteller and talented communicator who can construct powerful narratives that move our brand and reputation forward externally and internally.
With other Marketing team members, you’ll create strong and thoughtful integrated campaigns to help ensure our product launches and new market expansions are successful and convey our brand values. You’ll manage local and international media agencies to define, develop and oversee the end-to-end execution of PR strategy and programs that ladder back to the company’s overall strategic direction.
Within the organization, you’ll help build out a new internal communications function. We’re looking for someone to lead and execute a strategy that connects every employee to Photomath’s mission and operating values in an inspiring way.
What will you do?
Develop and execute regional communications strategies and programs to drive media coverage. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and senior leadership to craft compelling messaging and local storylines.
Collaborate with Product to develop media campaigns supporting new product launches
Manage and own relationship with PR agencies to build excellent relationships with key media and secure media opportunities
Refine PR metrics, measure the effectiveness of efforts and spend, create internal comms reports and socialize learnings
Develop and sharpen internal brand standards and brand guardrails for the organization to follow
Build and manage departmental relationships, serving as a thought partner. Find new ways to amplify the work and efforts across the organization for the whole team, improve knowledge sharing and transparency, and develop and scale our employer value proposition communications programs
Lead and mentor a growing team of direct reports
Who are you?
5-8 years experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, and/or journalism
Proven ability to build relationships and secure consistent proactive and news-based coverage with top-tier consumer and tech media
You love rallying teams of all kinds (including external agencies) together and can influence and work with a wide range of stakeholders, including our executives, product, customer success, marketing, HR, and engineering teams (and beyond!)
You know how to prioritize strategy and goals for teams and rally everyone to focus on the highest impact initiatives
You have incredible organizational skills and attention to detail and are able to balance the big picture while getting the important things right (done is better than perfect!
Mix of in-house and agency experience preferred but not required
